TOP GOLD at the 2017 NATIONAL WINE SHOW
Our 2015 Willowlake Pinot Noir has been awarded TOP GOLD at the 2017 National Wine Show. The announcement was made at last night’s award presentation dinner in Canberra. The National Wine Show is the final event in the wine show season of 2017, and requires all entries to be pre-qualified at state wine shows. This year saw more than 1200 entries.
This year marked the inaugural release of our Willowlake Vineyard Pinot Noir and it’s now received six gold medals including Top Gold at this year’s Winewise Small Vigneron Awards, another wine show that requires pre-selection before a wine can be entered. It also received 96 points from James Halliday in his 2018 Wine Companion and was selected by Qantas for its International Business class wine list this year.
Made using 15% whole bunches, wild fermented and 100% French oak barrels – 30% brand new, the wine was kept in oak for 10 months and wasn’t fined or filtered at bottling.
