This wine has been hand crafted with minimal winemaking intervention. Hand picking commenced on March 11th, 2019.  15% whole bunches and 85% whole berries were left to cold soak in an open pot, then left to ferment naturally over a 14 day period with regular hand plunging. Once dry, the ferments were pressed to a mixture of new and old French oak barrels where they underwent natural malolactic fermentation. On completion of malo, the wine was matured on lees for 10 months then carefully racked before bottling. It was not fined or filtered. Suitable for vegans

"Light to medium red/purple colour with a toasty, oaky-spicy bouquet which shows a little early development. A hint of smokiness. The palate is elegantly lean and intense, refined and tautly-framed, with medium to light-body and good extension. This has potential. It's a bit in its shell and firm, and another year will pay dividends. There is a nice core of fruit sweetness in there."
