This 2019 Chardonnay is produced from fruit grown on a single block from the Willowlake vineyard in Gladysdale, Upper Yarra Valley. It has been crafted with minimal intervention, using natural fermentation, no fining and only a single filtration before bottling. Hand picking commenced on March 8th 2019. Grapes were chilled overnight then whole bunch pressed, and the juice transferred to a mixture of new and old French oak barrels. A portion of the grapes were fermented on skins to add texture and mouthfeel. Once dry, the wine was left to mature on lees until blending, where the wine underwent a single, course filtration before bottling. Additional Notes: Suitable for vegans

Complex aromas of toast, yeast and flint with hints of white flower and white stone fruit. Textural palate with notes of white peach, grapefruit and well integrated oak.
Jane Faulkner"Flavours build, moving from citrus to stone fruit, fig to creamed honey. The palate fills out with richness and leesy influences plus well-handled phenolics. Then wham! A sprint home with its acidity."
