We’ve got some great news to share!
Santolin Wines have been selected by Qantas for their new International Business Class Wine Menu.
It was officially announced today at the Qantas Media launch in Sydney that two of our wines – the 2013 Individual Vineyard Pinot Noir and 2013 Individual Vineyard Chardonnay, were selected by the new Qantas Rockpool Sommelier team, to feature in the Qantas International Business Class wine list.
The team of 16, is led by Head of Sommeliers Australia, David Lawler and one of only two Master Sommeliers in Australia, Sebastian Crowther, as well as Head Bartenders of Rockpool restaurants around the country. The Sommelier’s blind tasted and reviewed more than 1200 Australian wines and Champages before narrowing down their selection.
We’re thrilled that not one, but two of our Yarra Valley wines were selected, especially from such a large pool of contenders. It’s such a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our small, boutique brand – and the Yarra Valley region, on an International stage alongside two of Australia’s most highly recognised and awarded companies, Qantas and Rockpool.
