Gold at Decanter World Wine Awards 2017

Following on from our recent Gold medal at the Global Chardonnay Masters, we are thrilled to announce that our 2015 Willowlake Vineyard Chardonnay has also been awarded a Gold medal at the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards.

Held in London each year, this is the world’s largest and most influential wine competition, judged by a selection of top wine experts from around the globe.

The 2017 results epitomise the spirit of DWWA, launched in 2004 with just 4,000 wines and now the world’s largest wine competition with more than 17,200 entries in 2017.

‘This event sorts out the ‘must buy’ and the ‘definitely try’,’ said Sarah Jane Evans MW, one of three new co-chairs for DWWA 2017.  She added, ‘The medals are hard fought for, and a gold is something really special. If you are looking to try something new then a Decanter medalist is a great place to start your wine adventures.’

Our Chardonnay featured in the Super-Premium (£30 – £59.99 RRP bottle) price bracket. Only two gold medals were awarded to Victorian Chardonnays in the whole competition and we’re incredibly proud that ours was one of them.
