Our new release 2015 Nero d’Avola has just scored a Gold medal at its first wine show – the Boutique Wine Awards.
Celebrating their 21st year, the Australian and New Zealand Boutique Wine Awards are open to independently owned wineries producing less than 250 tonne. This year the judging panel included Huon Hooke and Toni Paterson MW.
Our Nero was up against some tough competition with a wide range of varietals entered – the judges said ‘A strong class. The best wines had focused fruit, with oak a non intrusive element. The medalled wines had harmony and balance as well as expressing the varietal characters.’
We’re also thrilled to announce our 2014 Pinot Noir was awarded a silver medal at the same awards in the Pinot Noir Class.
